Please note: In order to make our job easier when determining class sizes and divisions, we are asking for your alpacas' Colour Code, instead of Class. We will thereafter divide the classes according to the MAC Show System rules. Please use the CLAA Colour Chart when deciding which Colour Code to apply to each alpaca. This will allow for less confusion on the Show Weekend as we try to put the Program together.
Age divisions for halter classes will be as follows and will be determined by the age of the animal on the first day of the show.
1. JUVENILES - 6 months to under 12 months
2. YEARLINGS - 12 months to under 24 months
3. TWO YEAR OLDS - 24 months to under 36 months
4. MATURE - 36 months and over
Sire's Progeny - Three progeny of 1 sire and a minimum of 2 different dams
Produce of Dam - Two progeny of 1 dam and 2 different sires
Breeder's Best - Best of 3
The colour classes are as follows:
2. Light (Includes Beige, Light Fawn)
3. Fawn (Includes Medium Fawn, Dark Fawn)
4. Brown (Includes Light Brown, Medium Brown, Dark Brown)
5. Black (Bay Black and Black)
6. Grey (Silver Grey, Rose Grey)
All alpacas to be entered in the show must be registered/recorded or be a pending entry with the Canadian Llama and Alpaca Association (CLAA). A copy of the alpaca's certificate of registration, or CLAA recorded letter, pending documentation must be readily available at the show.
A. Pending registration status is permitted
B. Percentage purebred alpacas with CLAA certificates of registration are eligible to show
C. CLAA recorded (0%) alpacas are eligible to show
For Farms sharing alpaca stalls or display stalls, ONE farm must pay the FULL price for the stall.
ALPACA STALLS: This year we can allow up to three (3) adult alpacas or four (4) cria per 10x10 stall in our facilities. We also have limited ability to put two stalls together to form double stalls (priced as two singles). We will do our best to accommodate double stall requests - however due to space constraints - these are on a first come - first served basis and we may not be able to accommodate every request. Display stalls will be ringside.
Single Stalls - $50
Double Stalls - $100
Display/Farm Stalls - $75 ($50 for MAC Members) *these are ringside*
